Chris Harris
is a noted sculptor, painter and author.
He was born and raised in New Westminster, Canada. Chris is a third generation Artist.
His Grandfather and Mother were Artists and his father a mill worker. Chris was raised
mostly by his Grandmother, a Northern Plains Cree Indian who greatly influenced his vision
of things from a very young age.
Chris always knew he was an Artist. He started painting and sculpting after high school.
Fifteen years ago he moved to New York where he continued to paint but also expanded into
waterfalls, rock placement and landscape design. After 8 years he has moved back to BC
to again expand his horizons. In 1998 his first book was published, How To Paint, a collection
of poetry and short prose.
Chris has recently found success in the form of garden sculpture, architectural sculpture as
well as rock placement. He has had his sculptural work reviewed in various publications.
Chris can bring cement and plaster to life; there is movement in all of his pieces. The majority of
his pieces are limited edition; most pieces are signed and numbered.
Chris's diverse abilities are marked by uniqueness and quality. He is open to customizing your needs.
